It gives me great pleasure to support Liz O’Donnell for Town Moderator. Having grown up here and raised her two children in Dedham, Liz possesses a deep commitment to our community. In the years I have known her, I have always found her to be a sincere person  who listens to her fellow citizens with genuine respect and interest.

As a former School Committee member and current Town Meeting Member, I know that an effective Moderator must facilitate sessions with care, clarity, and a firm grasp of the issues. Dan Driscoll carried this legacy for 33 years; as we move forward, I am confident Liz is not only the right person for this position but a passionate advocate for our town.

Liz has served for 10 years as a Town Meeting Member and most concurrently for 10 years on the Finance and Warrant Committee. During her time on the FWC she has done the hard work of mastering the budget and connecting with residents to understand their priorities. Because the Moderator is responsible for appointing members to both the Finance and Warrant Committee and 3 members of the Capital Expenditures Committee, we need someone with Liz’s discernment and dedication to ensure these roles are filled with the Town’s best interests at the forefront of all appointments.

Liz is a smart, seasoned communications professional who values every point of view. I am excited about the perspective she will bring to the podium, and I encourage my fellow neighbors to join me in voting for Liz O’Donnell for Town Moderator.
